Well, I had to do it. I re-upgraded my account to a paid account. I looked at the price and even though every cent John and I have should go towards bills right now, I splurged a little. One of the biggest uses I use LiveJ. for is to post my new artwork, and while I know there was a way to do it even with the free account, I'm just not 'puter savvy enough to figure it out... and I'm kinda lazy that way ;o) I liked the simplicity of adding pictures with the paid account, and it was only $20 for a whole year, if we go bankrupt, it's not going to be because of that. Anyway, enough justifying...
The reason I re-upgraded today was because I have a new Potter-Painting to Share :o)
I am going through a bout of being very critical of what I've done with all of the Potter-Project thus far, so I'm feeling a bit of disappointment with this painting in particular and I'm not sure why. It's not that I think it's bad, it's just that I don't think it's really good either. It's probably normal for most artists to be critical of their own work. Hopefully I can take the disappointments as influence for making the next paintings better.
Anyway, here is the new painting, Chapter 16: Through the Trapdoor

So, for those who don't realize it, this is the second to last chapter of book one, which means there is only one left for this book!!! So despite the disappointments I spoke of earlier, I am feeling a great sense of accomplishment. Don't get me wrong there is still more painting and drawing to do for book one after this initial set is done, I still have the cover I want to re-do, and there's the double size illustration for this book along with all the vignettes to finish, but it's getting so close!!! I'm going to start chapter 17 today after I finish all the work I need to on the 'puter.
